MSID stands for the Malaysian Society of Interior Designers respectively. all that intense crazy week action was all for the finale that is MSID 5belas which was held in the much hyped-about Taylor's Lakeside Campus (woooooo ) . its all so exciting and it pumps the adrenaline with the atmosphere there, with presence of students from Limkokwing, Taylors, Saito and all.

there are categories to compete with other colleges such as performance, furniture design, lighting design, installation art design, bunting design, graffiti, sony videologue, short movie category, montage, amazing race and other smaller individual competition.

played with this throughout the opening speech

KBU won quite a number of awards and only lost to UCSI who bagged them like christmas presents. here's what we won:

1st place for furniture design
1st place for performance (i'm in this!)
1st place for short movie (i'm in this again!)
2nd place for sony videologue (i'm in this too!)
3rd place for installation art
3rd place for lighting design
and about 2 or 3 individual competition won by KBU year 3 seniors.

quite a wonderful day to be able to be part of a big family to bag these awards together.

the sony videologue took alot of time to do and it basically took the entire sunny afternoon. we missed the amazing race and the fashion show. was just able to glimpse the fashion show for me.

this is me after some intense parkouring around taylor ( lol) can't wait to parkour again! though i risk breaking a leg or two or some knee caps!

this suit of balls helped us to win the performance hahahaha.

the summary of an insane week.

crazy week was the term used to define the starting week for us year 2 and our year 3 seniors. well defined term indeed. crazy week is where everyone goes crazy trying to complete a huge group project before the deadline and compete with the other groups to get the top. my group was Genesis. in the end we only won VERY FEW awards, but the experience was surreal and great. met lots of new guys :D and girls !

the most amazing thing about this crazy week is not the result because to me, i had alot of fun experience with my groupmates while producing and making our own short movie. it was seriously an endless fun-ride though tiring. i love film making and maybe .. acting? hahaha. i have few acting debuts already :D and this time the short movie i was in took the 1st place. proud *cries* . i'm thinking perhaps to do it again in the next upcoming crazy week...where i would be a year 3 senior !

Its been so long since the previous update. So the latest would be in December ^^ one of the most looked-forward months of the year. because of course , CHRISTMAS ! even though it doesn't snow here, can almost feel those powdery substance everyday i wake up in December :)

Year 2 in architecture(i've given up trying to say I'm an interior designer) brings lots of new friends and projects. the projects are killers, ironically, we start our year 2 with a project that lasts few weeks called CRAZY WEEK. so that is a very good representation and introduction to life in year 2.

had just completed the first project and the weeks are hectic and tiring. now in my schedule, there are nap times... that is strange, i don't usually have naps. now i must, because my friends and i sleep at 4 5 6 a.m in the morning just to complete weekly progress to show our lecturers (which lasts only about 15mins). perhaps something about the crazy week and my first project in future posts :)

Things happened everyday and i don't know what should the update be but lets talk about AV-98 Ingram1 ! a super deformed model i got online along with another SD model the Griffon.

The Ingram1 catches my eyes immediately when i saw it online and .. it is a must have..

comes from revoltech, a line of models with revolver joints. i don't know what revolver joints basically do but it just sounds cool and pleasing to my ears. i heard it produces great articulation.

gotta check it out after the assembly. great thing about this is it comes with the markings moulded onto the plastic. so no decals are needed, just some lining. and i did some painting ! the steel colour i have is getting rusty, so its time to make it useful and not evaporate into the winter.

wow look at that. articulation really IS good @@ for an SD model. comes with a small revolver, painted it in chrome.

nothing much to talk about this model besides being cool and cute and poseable hahaha. great model to have to start the amazing December. every christmas has new surprises and experiences, lets hope for this christmas, it is a special one ^^

MG Exia

Heard various stories by reading other people's responses to the MG Exia Ignition before getting it. (but even if it sucks i'll still get it :P) finally a kit from OO series haha. it is one really cool kit and beyond my expectations seriously. yes, even after hearing the many + parts of Exia Ignition, i still can't help feeling oversatisfied with it.

firstly, a few new types of parts and materials are introduced in this which should be those cool-looking holographic strips that becomes abit rainbowy when it catches the light. its rubbery and durable ! then there are the green round coverings that are see-through green and with some kinda tattoos on it hahaha.

clear green parts. can't really see the markings here.

this model was eye-opening to me i guess because after assembling the legs, i played around with it and Exia's form is abit dynamic and rather circular O_O so its kinda cool to me as to how the knee part functions. its too hard to explain here because of the physics-related theories, chemically induced hyphothesis and whatever so i'll just keep the marvelousness of it to myself.

another reason why i bought the exia ignition mode instead of the normal exia is because this kit includes chromed parts! the GN blades are all in chrome ! and the GN blades is the main reason why i love Exia. that large GN blade on attached on the right is awesomeeeeeee.

building this model was SERIOUSLY easy compared to previous sword strike and strike noir O_O for this model i didn't do any painting AT ALL! just perhaps the decalling part kills me. the decals are freaking small!!! i screwed up a few of those damn icky tiny decals that wouldnt make much difference on or off the gundam's body. but i still did it anyways.

extreme articulation

articulation wise, exia is at the top of the chain. the legs can basically split like chinese acrobats. the body can slant sideways. the parts of exia can basically move beyond many of its other counterparts, which makes this model fun to play and pose with hehe. it can do various poses and the very dynamic appearance of it kills many.

i once saw someone blogging about how exia should NOT and NEVER be placed standing still like singing the national anthem because that is kind of a crime. it should be played with and given a striking pose that maybe defies gravity in some way.

before the actual adventure started in Singapore, i've already heard many stories of Singapore and the citizens whether its plus or minus. finally witnessed singapore in the point of view of a 19 year old instead of the previous point of view of a ... 10 year old ? can't remember when was it but the only thing i have stored in memory is eating an expensive "zhung" in orchard road.

Singapore is clean, singaporean kiasu, singaporeans only speak hokkien and english. lots and lots of opinions by different people but one thing i confirm is the cleanliness of this little country with big ambitions (and achievements). SPOTLESS. the streets are dustless. food stalls are as clean as my house. amazingly, their Chinatown has no signs of rubbish bins too. perhaps their rubbish bins are more attractive compared to Malaysian ones (always looks old, dirty and have juice dripping off the edges).

transportation is not a problem(public only lol) the convenience of MRT and the public bus is undeniable. i went there and played the whole day for 1 and a half day and i travelled around Singapore by MRT because it is fast, clean and on time. unlike our very own KTM, malaysian timing lah~

architecture wise i'm more than impressed. they have good architectures even though not VERY the wow-amazingy. Singapore is a small place but the development sure is big. one wrong thing bout the trip is bringing the stupid cam tripod. had to carry it like a tumor throughout the WALKING trip around Singapore. shoulders must have been broader now.

Universal studios wasn't that bad. loved the various mascots of different movies like madagscar and shrek. they were very realistic and nice. but the most looked-forward to thing was this big giant double coasters Battlestar Galactica. but it wasn't open!!!

maybe its because of the youth olympics and the upcoming F1, thats why i get to view Singapore at its best condition and quality. but still, this first impression is strong enough to last a life time in my memory box. i'll definitely be back dear Singapore, someday. if u're not that expensive i might consider visiting more often.

final project was done and i should be able to sleep earlier for a few days before i start working on the presentation part. but strangely its been two days that i can't actually sleep early. i woke up early at dawn today and felt really sleepy at noon but now i'm awake and doing nothing.

must be the brain. the brain is working overtime and i consider it involuntary actions... i didn't wanna think so much but it kept zooming in thoughts and things. eye shadows getting deep! D:

what to do when i can't fall asleep? i'll just lie and roll on the bed, thinking. even counting sheeps won't help much because eventually i'll start thinking up a story for my sheep to walk through.

can't sleep and the stomach ain't helping much.

i'll remember today because wei hoong's car got hit by another bird crap. and also because i watched one of the BEST, CREATIVE, SMART, INTRIGUING, MIND-BLOWING and WHATEVER-GOOD-THINGS movie. yes that is inception. starring my ever favourite leornado di caprio as lead.

wow. looking back at time, i realized i have not blogged about movies for a small amount of time already. maybe because this movie is just so worth it(unlike the boring solomon kane i watched recently). well there are other worthy movies but i just..didn't feel like talking about them, such as the cute despicable me(those yellow things win the show).

the thing about inception is, it is in a genre which i pretty much like which is concepts of mind distortion or the perspectives of ourselves. its a complex thing but these types of movies are what i like to see. christopher nolan, famous for all these mind boggling trick shows since his famous memento can be trusted wholely when it comes to such movies.

Dom Cobb isn't such a cool name but come on, its leonardo di caprio in tux with a gun. and he is a talented dream thief. who wouldn't like such a setting?

credits also to actors like ellen page and joseph gordon-levitt. i kinda like these two's characters. they seem kinda cool especially joseph's arthur. there's a particular scene of arthur that really steals the show which is when the hallway's gravity was twisted. that is one memorable scene.

not only that, i like the idea of having an architect to design a dream. that really gets to me. and that role is by ellen page!

the movie plays with the mind and turns out to be one freaking good thriller. i especially like the idea of the dream levels. that really gets us thinking.

yes, thats how i was when i was watching throughout. edge of the seat. brain working so hard that i might need more sugar intake.

i've seen several reviews of the movie but all of them started by saying "if u wanna enjoy the show, stop reading this review now. "

so i guess i shouldn't say anything. to those who are going to watch . ENJOY it!!

mid of the month june and strangely, friends called up for a dinner, or some kind of a mini gathering for our group of buddies. not much attended but the close ones are still here(except rosie lol). original idea of 1u chilis got pushed away by the pair joyee and nickson i don't know why :( i was looking forward to chilis. why push it away!!

as usual and not surprisingly everyone was late except me of course(and eddie) . again i got the typical answer of "malaysian timing". so the dinner was pulled till er.. i forgot what time but its waaaaaaay later than the original 7pm. so ok, no chilis, and my favourite fish and co was deleted as well :( so.... played with a new choice; seoul garden, some kind of buffet using korea's city name. or is it korean bbq?? lol. here's my unprofessional critic on seoul garden.

firstly it sucks. its a very direct answer. and it sucks because the buffet table where everyone goes to grab their whatever is located at the front entrance. and THAT is damn inconvenient. my lecturer would have strangled my corpse if i did something like that in my project. the practicality is stupid because it blocks traffic to the maximum.

been on the state of in-between-ness for months but its still not a very long duration. still gotta continue writing the E word daily. keep refreshing the image in my thinking box so i can laugh out loud hehehe.

don't really have a solid idea of what am i blogging at this hour with my mind in an ethereal state. but when dwelling in that state, funny things come out of the brain because the neuro bla bla wateva connects with my hypo bla bla and i get some medulla bla. and out comes some crap like this post. but its enjoyable to do nonsensical things once in a while. it gets your head light.

btw, got jolted today because i can't believe i actually sucked at a mind game. i always thought my mind was blank because i can just... stare at space and lose my head. but playing the mind game, i kept losing, showing super unstable brain activity. damn.

its a wonderful time of the year, because its the time when i first ventured into a place that i feel.... inhuman and cold.... just joking. thats the definition for brutalism architecture anyways. and thats what klpac is. inhumanely cool.

klpac, a building designed with brutalism in mind, is truly...remarkable. but yet its just a very simple structure actually. but the surrounding of the building is somewhat attractive as well. a lake, lots of trees, brick walls that extend into the lake with no function whatsoever. and i think the brick wall that extends into the lake with no function whatsoever is really nice because its a nonsensical flat wall of pure red bricks. the building is of bricks and bricks are attractive and i am attracted to bricks.

this picture shows the place to be extremely comforting and soothing.

something brought me and friends towards the wonderful wonder of klpac and i'm delighted to have the chance to finally go there. got a charity job offer to set up an installation with the idea of office pasted firmly in our brains using superglue. but i;m gonna skip the overall thing because, i think its kinda boring to recount boring things. the process was fun nonetheless. especially when u're with friends.

the installation in the end turned out unexpected but still it was a fun coaster ride. i give a thank you as big as the sky to my friends adam, wei hoong and yong hong for agreeing to help me out in this. truly appreciated it. even though they earn nothing except my never ending love for them LOL. maybe thats what they wanted!?

ok okokok i just turned on my hyper-hyped-non-ventilated mode. in short it means i'm super-duper-extremely excited or even shorter; smexy according to jonwong. SKY SAILING! or adam young or owl city totally win!

ok so sky sailing according to adam's (not adam yong) explanation, is what he called himself before owl city, and its his early recordings which is of course another wild ride connected to his imaginative and very creative mind. Goddish, i'm so freaking excited now and the main reason for it is :

the vid i saw for sky sailing and the entire theme is something of MY imagination too and is one of my favourite ever among my many pages of other crappy imaginations. PAPERPLANES!!! ITS PAPERPLANES set in a ... something like a watercolour-ed world! how cool can it go?

goddishhh, adam totally reads my mind sometimes with his popping music and sounds.

another superb plus one for adam young is the amazingly titled album for sky sailing. "an aeroplane carried me to bed". hearing that for an album name melts me.

no doubting i'm quick in obtaining the songs and i already have brielle and tennis elbow in my grasp. as for the other songs by sky sailing, its still secretive, but for now, i know i have an album target already. NEXT ON THE LIST : AN AEROPLANE CARRIED ME TO BED!

so much to think but little to actually put it in words. lots of stories telling me about a certain issue which is my best friend yet my worse enemy. i wanna say it out loud for people to hear but not revealing the true intentions or my meanings.

currently there are many changes and only ONE main change of a miniature i do not wish for because the effect on me will be like a few miles from zero on the left side. again, issues i know i should not highlight because of the fragility of it. its like thin glass.

confiding to a fruit is what i'm doing to give myself some relieve because to other objects, its impossible. a fruit at least, has necessary vitamins, tasty and it doesn't reply. it just listens and thats what i need wahahaha. someone should consider inventing a listener, since there are already machines that talk.

i'm really liking the way to blog right now because its fun to think of sentences that are bla bla bla ing here there everywhere without a direction hahaha. but in terms of images, its getting less. perhaps because i'm too lazy to find suitable illustrations to reflect these. what the heck?

i have pondered something for a long time and each time i add in new words or harder words to this piece when i think about it.

optimism and pessimism are obviously the positive and negative. of course, who would like pessimism when it talks about the left side of 0 ? ironically, its pessimism actually that earns, not optimism. brothers they are but people only care about pessimism. no one gives a damn to optimism UNLESS he starts to be pessimism for a while.

if you're optimistic, no1 cares. they are only concerned with the pessimistic sides.

but still. i'll stick to optimism for now, a better way of living and maybe slowly after no1 cares i'll be pessimistic.

an eventful event occured but its similar to previous ones. this time i took it better, at least, not in the face. but then i'm rendered without a mouth now. unable to voice out my story somehow and luckily i don't wish to cuz its a boring fable.

then, i dreamt of something horrible and i woke up and i'm not sure if it really happened or just a dream. but it was really bringing my m double-o d below the atlantic's depths.. dispirited greatly.

it was one of the worst dreams and i don't want to relive that experience where i dreamt myself dreaming of something bad which made me unable to sleep well because i kept thinking of it. i must be getting paranoid... and its all the same reason why.

the sky closed its eyes making things dark everywhere. i'm just randoming myself because there are so many piles of papers in my head i don't know which to start because all are confidential. perhaps spraying it out like spray paint is good because at least its not precise.

i have these little miniatures in my room which i really like. but, they are still just miniatures. they don't receive messages that i send so i can't rely on them besides putting them on display and playing with them. but i still love them.

i saw today an article saying about people that always fold paper planes and then let them fly off, have happier moments than those that prefer the paper flat. so folding paper planes are a relieve? but i can't fold cuz im handicapped somehow.

i fell into a friend's house recently. it was a wonderful room and i loved it. its a whole new experience for an amateur self like me and i should visit the friend's room more often but obstacles are ever present. like road accidents, road blocks, traffic lights going gaga.

but for now, stuck i might be, but i'm stuck while watching a very long movie.

buster!

its one of the few that i have always wanted and i finally have the buster gundam 1/100 normal grade completed ! wait till i get the decals for the seed series. after the decal placing, buster will look much better :D without those stickers to make your gundam's look more complex, it sucks!

i kind of experimented alot with the buster mostly in handpainting. this is the first model where i used alot of hand paint. and also my first time trying out the metallic grey i bought :D

used the usual italian red spray i had to spray over the dull reds to make it vibrant. dry-brushed abit of those arm thingy that holds the canons.

there is a huge problem O.O those are thingy kinda like, disintegrated =.= and broke down at smaller parts.... i cried 45 mins and resumed work, gluing the pieces back with super glue. i don't know if its because its an NG quality or what, it just disintegrated like my heart :(

really loved the buster's double canons gimmick. besides the double canons and the opening hatch on the shoulders, buster is plain empty. no close range things whatsoever. but it still looks so cool!

when combined.

1/100 it is but the quality is ok. painted almost all the grey parts with the metallic grey i have, and topcoated those without the glossy metal finish first.

chromed some of the cannon parts to make it look nicer, something i learned by looking at other modellers' guns.

buster : plain and simple.

i have moved a few inches into the realm in Ken's head where it says "beyond the limit" in the sleeping department in my brain. yes, for 48 hours where 16 hours are meant for sleeping, i only took 2 hours ++ ^^

reasons for it : i am just crazy and i wanna stay up for no reason, maybe just jump around and hit myself on the head to waste the 14 hours of sleep.

reasons for it : went out with friends to hang in out clubs and bars and maybe just roam around downtown creating mischief and getting creative with concrete walls.

REAL reasons for it : viewtower project, one of the most boring term i'll remember for life. its not a very hard job TO BE HONEST. its much simpler i guess when compared to mobile living. but its because of this big barrier wall called "WORKING DRAWINGS" that had occupied my friends' and my time. with such a close due date, its not surprising to find some of my friends being unable to complete the task.grrr.

had to do the viewtower final model one day before the due date. and that is an impossibly-impossible-impossibility. i have not tried EVER to do a model from scratch ONE day before the due date. now i know.

starting one day before due date = 1hour + sleep.

so. after showing the model and bringing it home again (total marks given for the pointlessness of it = 100) i thought of my bed immediately... but some friends wiped that image off my head and yay ^^ off we head to 1u . came back and slept for 58 mins ^^ and off to work in 1u.

i have never treated 1u as hell before, but now it kinda have that feel to it.

its been like 3 weeks plus that my house was in a total mess. it is still messy but just a few inches deep of messiness. the word "renovation", is a taboo now for me. i hate renovating houses when i'm living in it. it makes everything uncomfortable with all the dust, noise and things at their usual places being moved here and there.

i'll admit i'm not a person that can fit well very quickly to a new environment so the few weeks were hell!! first, the main room of the house, something like my base of operations, had all the contents in it(including PC!) sealed off because of the need to change the tiles. the entire ground floor is getting itself a new change of clothing.

now after weeks of living in a desert, i get to be back on earth :D but my pc went gaga :( but due to my haste in taking actions it is back in action :)

ok, skip all those long winded words and right to the pictures. thats what blogs are about right? :D who likes reading posts like reading dictionaries, every1 likes illustrated story books more anyways :D

the only place which i liked best after the renovation would be the toilet. the rest is ok of course, just that the toilet is more appealing :D?

the toilet wall mosaic. sexy. once u enter the toilet, its like being transported into a different place totally once u sit on the toilet bowl. lol. this mosaic tile is very old, it lived in my father's storage for like 10 years. it was used for madam kwan's restaurant's floor in KLCC.

time-travelling toilet seat. lols. things are getting upgraded in the house, from toilet hole to toilet bowl.

a funny thing is, after nearing 11 years of staying in the house, they finally installed that toilet-paper-holding-thing. 11 years of living without a toilet-paper-holding-thing, that is suffering...

kitchen was renovated as well. a wall was hacked and now the kitchen looked like a football field with tiles. these framed arts are displayed on one of the empty kitchen wall.

everything turned out fine. EXCEPT for this large and ugly piece, something like a tumor, in the house.
the sofas were replaced! thank god its only a replacement because the original sofa was sent for er.. some modifications i think. this was the replacement we got :( and it sucked maximum! i hate it! how can some1 live with this!?

mobile living, the project that had kept me and my classmates at edge everyday with tensions in our brains getting tighter and threatening to explode anytime is finally over. well, just the model and some preliminary things. now the sub-torture is up; presentation board. and lastly will be the part where we, the students, will be a human target, ready to be shot at by our two lecturers during presentation with critical remarks about the project. prepare to get shot.

this time around, i won't be describing a foot-long essay on the concept models and development models because they are all crap.

mobile living's focus will be on our creativity on space division, but with a little twist haha :)
many of my friend wanted to try the extension and various openings that we can do with a mobile container to make the space larger than the usual rectangular space of a container. so the fun thing about it is we get to think of various technicalities for us to make extensions for our model! ;)

this is when all extendable parts are extended.

of course, focus will also be on the interior part. this time around, i had enough openings to be able to see the inside. the roof part can be opened at one part to peep inside the living room.

this is the supposed "gallery" which now i think should be a private study place. a pin up board and a ...er... place to put books. the pin up board is to pin up photographs, which is the interest of the client (taking photos).

ok,the bed area is on top and it slides out. i would like a bed like that i think. seems fun haha. because of the limited space, the toilet have to be kept at minimum. but personally i hate small and tight toilet spaces, makes u feel claustrophobic. so i added a huge glass at the side, to make the toilet look more spacious.

the room outside the toilet will be the sink and the er..towel hanger. lol. bad place for a towel hanger i think.

not very sure if the model is good or what, just have to wait until friday to know the results whether the lecturers liked it. the whole model is made from ice cream sticks because of the client's preference of wood. the colour however, turned out to be out of my expectations. many of my friends told me about the weird colour, because the brown was rather dark and dull. but i think it should be ok now since i clear spray-ed the whole thing. now the brown shines. lets hope i do too.

recently as those who reads the newspapers would know, a terrible volcano erupted in iceland. it actually turned pretty serious judging that many of the air traffics around the world are disrupted because of the volcanic ashes formed by the eruption. even my mom's plane to china today was delayed to 2pm because of it.

Form and Light headaches.

Form and light. A project of the past few torturing weeks. Seriously this felt like torture, like we're being held hostage and tortured. "You must finish this in 4 weeks"! or you die. So, form and light is simple enough to understand since the words FORM and LIGHT is rather obvious.

Playing with forms to create interesting openings, shadows, lightcrafts and something similar and incorporate it into the architecture which is of all pure natural light.

Again... the usual design process. Always start with research; print lots of words or pictures to show that you DID something. Then, here comes the new thing. Concept models. Wow, concept models? never heard of it back in foundation. The only thing I know is sketchmodel which is tedious enough. This time, in Degree we are introduced to concept models first, development models and finally your final model. I know, the whole process seems like it should be named "The longest path to quick death".

So, concept models we need 3 which means 3 different concepts based on whatever you like. whatever u find interesting. whatever picked your design senses. so i took water, canyons and density. well honestly speaking i usually only think seriously of ONE concept, the rest (curse myself) are usually treated like leftovers that i put into a plate to make it look like food. in this case, water concept is strongest. i researched more on it(actually no, totally no information on it, who needs info on water???) just some sketches of ideas.

my sketchings i find, can only be understood by me. they are basically just lines here and there but i understand what is the big picture since it is all in my head.

skip all the usual tantrums and complaints during the concept model time straight to the development models era. Ok, we were told that we need 3 development models. when being told this it almost feels like april fool. but thats how degree is gonna be (OMG). development models are close to finals, just without colours and much details. but 3!!?? ok i might complaint now but in the future i might think :"oh 3 development models? is that enough lecturer? i think i need 6 ~~because im too good~~"

further developed the water concept to water splash and came up with 3 development models.

after all the development models hype, its finally time for the final model. complete with colour, details, potato chips and some dvds.

omg it glows!? yes, just a little reflective surface i have in the space to play around with light reflection. kind of like an experiment.

my personal UNBIASED point of view or self evaluation of this project. i did SO FINE!! what a lie... ok i did just okay i guess. few points i realised about is :
1. practicality wise, i think i'm still not that thoughtful of it being practical or possible in architecture. a point i better touch up on because it is important for interior designers to think of practicality.
2. workmanship actually became better i guess. but still, parts are kinda loose at certain places. gotta improve more!
3. rosidah said my model is kinda sketchy, like still in sketchmodel stage but the idea is there. i wonder whether my idea and design is good when she said that. still no answer yet. perhaps some of you can give me a hint.

one more thing. my presentation board was criticised! for being able to extend making it unfair to my fellow classmates. BUT she also complimented on my board design for being soothing and has very nice graphics (maybe i SHOULD be a graphic designer instead). Haihs, i thought the extension could at least make things abit more interesting.

but nevermind, now i get a better idea of how things work. will be doing better in workmanship and ideas i hope for the current project i'm doing : mobile dwelling. another tedious shit because of the various sliding mechanisms that i have to come up with. god, it really took off 3 quarters of my brain to think of it. took me whole day to think, 2 more days to do just ONE development model. what about the other 2???

Recently, a very young bird hatchling was found near the porch and this time it was moving. Previously, my mother found another one but it was already still and lifeless. The one she found this time seems to be moving alot. Its eyes aren't open yet. Featherless. Only skins and I can practically see the insides because the skin is so thin.

At first me and my mom didn't know what to do but in the end we took it in and gave it shelter and fed it with ... er.. rice. lol.

Trying our best to preserve its life until it can fly by itself. Everything seemed to be okay now as it eats and excretes normally. Lets hope it lives till adulthood.

The main point of today's trip to Low Yat was to get back my PC, which had been there for the past 6-7 weeks. Sigh. Sad case, its fixed but there's something else I need to get it up and running. Sad.

No fear! Bought something and luckily the simplicity of the item itself was able to lift my spirits.

Keroro Gunso Plamo Collection!

Very simple assembly. Even my 8 year-old cousin could've done it I guess. Or maybe not.
Anyways, it is really amazing seeing how it comes with the mini gunpla zaku and the frame of the RX-78 hahaha. THAT caught me by surprise.

The assembly of it is rather easy and very straight forward. The only . . . strange mechanism is how the eyes are able to change to a different set of eyes hahahahaaha. Comes with different types of legs and hands too for various poses and also a mini stand for Sergeant Keroro to pose!

De arimasu!

He loves Gunpla as much as I do.

Wasn't very hard, because the parts aren't connected to frames as complicated as Gundam models. They break easily and the nub marks are little. So, didn't do much with it except trim it abit and then SNAP it goes.

Perhaps more Keroro's next time? hahaha

Formania Series

Its again the same time of the year where you just have that "I must get that" feeling. And usually these "I must get that" feeling that I have ends without me ever getting the thing I wanted!

Just to share.... the next thing on my impossible-to-get list will be this highly-detailed half-busted model of the famous Nu-Gundam, produced by Bandai under the Formania Series. And its the first of its kind! I mean as in the first in the Formania Series.

Never really liked those odd organ-like(as in the piano organ) thing at the back of it but it is not shown in this picture.

And this is the Nu-Gundam in the Formania Series.

Just look at all those details! The hydraulic pipes in silver chrome. The screw thing. The wires. WOW!

The back is always the part with plenty of details. The thrusters are amazing because of its metallic colour.

Another plus point is that the cockpit can be opened and I think many of the other parts are interactive as well.

This item costs about 400 plus ringgit. Now that is a problem..

Another problem is I don't have any idea where I can find this in Malaysia. Knowing Malaysia, there really isn't much hobby shops that are VERY dedicated.

Dear neglected Blog, I'm soooo sorry :P

I tested a new drug recently and it proved to be beneficial >:) it made me feel wonderful, beyond imagination. I need it everyday before I sleep. Bloody Owl City...

This guy named Adam Young who made Owl City is definitely the man I'm finding. Anyone who doesn't know what Owl City is should have his/her head shaved. Owl City is the BOMB now. But well I think it passed actually but I still really love Owl City's songs.

The songs are not only very dream-like and creative, it gives inspiration somehow. The lyrics are just somehow metaphorical, even though it sounds like Adam Young might actually be lyrically-illiterate BUT it is not. His lyrics are rhythmic and it has meanings. It all depends on how you derive it.

I currently have like more than 15 songs of Owl City and I can say only about 3-4 songs I didn't repeat listening to it. The rest are just mind-blowing, or is it ear-blowing?

The titles are interesting enough to make you wanna hear it. If my heart was a house, Vanilla Twilight, Strawberry Avalanche, The Saltwater Room. It all sounds odd O.O

Anyways, I love his style of music and lyrics. (even though some said its boring because the style is repetitive)

little soldier, big movie

There's tons of CNY movies screening right now ; 14 Blades starring Donnie Yen(woohoo), 72 tenants of prosperity starring basically hundreds of TVB actors/actresses, little big soldier and many others, just to name a few.

But, I had the luck of watching Little Big Soldier recently with friends and it was really really interesting to watch. It would totally be in the comedy genre and of course, that is expected since its a Jackie Chan movie, typical comedy. BUT, this comedy is way better than the usual Jackie Chan type...
Also starring Lee Hom, which I find rather ..quiet.. in the movie. And rather worn out. lol.

Anyways, there's action as well; the usual Jackie Chan jumping here and there with lots of agility. Its amazing... in his 50s he is still able to pull off those rolling and jumping stunts. *standing ovation*

Particularly liked Jackie Chan's trickery and all those tools he have with him which helps him to fake death. LOL.

It has some pretty nice sceneries includings rivers, lakes, field of flowers and canyons. This scene has Jackie Chan and the female actress Lin Peng playing a songstress. I feel that her role is like... the director just wants to add a female lead. Her role is like filling up holes. But nevermind, she never really stands out anyways.

Still, Jackie and Lee Hom's chemistry is best. One is dead serious like in a thriller action movie and the other is crazy like an actor in a parody. Superb.

Go watch it.

Somehow CNY this year seemed kinda boring. Perhaps its cause' both my brother and cousin is away in England(celebrating alone, keke) or somehow its because, ITS TOO HOT!

Luckily, parents planned a trip to Cameron Highlands, the few last cold places on this 40 degree celcius country.. Come to think of it, had not been to Cameron since I was standard 6. And that was with the school teachers and friends. Hardly remember anything.

So its refreshing to be there again, though the trip to there and back is serious-tiring~ cause of the road going left right round twist turning. Nothing much bout the trip except the overload of steamboat as dinner and supper AND excess vegetables and strawberries. Thats what Cameron is all about.

First day itself, went to see vegetables and bought a tray of strawberries and we ended up stuffing ourselves unwillingly because it can't seem to be finished. And the worse part is I'm getting forced to eat it when the parents who bought so much couldn't finish =.=

All the activities of Cameron include 1. Eating steamboat 2. Vegetables sight-seeing 3. Taking pictures of boring subjects 4. Playing Speed with toddlers.

One more "good" activity to keep my boredom level checked is taking pictures. But that only happened on the second day which is the day we go back down to KL. Again, we're in Cameron so don't expect pictures of sandy beaches, girls, toys, or whatever.Only photographs of nature.

The farmer

A cabbage I think, from a farm we visited. So..it takes like 3 months to grow cabbages. wow.

Starts to miss the DSLR.. Taking pictures with a Digital camera is kinda ... dissatisfying.

Really nice roses (last is not). The colours are like.. they have a matte property which I extremely love. and the surface texture seemed so smooth its almost fake.

Ish...began regretting not taking much interest in the DSLR until I started having photography tutorials. Now I'm dying for it and its so far away...

Damn lightning struck two of the most important places. My modem and my CPU... Ugh..now I need to take the trouble of travelling to Low Yat to get it fixed, under warranty. But I'm glad just being able to online... at least I dun feel cut off fromt he world LOL

Striking Noir

This took a longer time than I thought. Got it since early January and had started on it since that day until just recently. I usually finish my previous models in a day or 2 at most. The usual one-day completion changed and now it takes me more than a week to complete just one(all started with crossbone). And right after crossbone I have the MG Strike Noir. Bought two at one go since it was way cheaper than usual; both MGs, Strike Noir and Sword Impulse. This post is especially for Strike Noir because it is one cool kit.

Crossbone was the first kit that I build with a better foundation and knowledge about gunpla. And Noir being the second has more improvements... AND some customization of my own. Not out-of-the-box anymore x)

Customizations :
1. Sprayed white over the original greyish colour. The overall colour became black and white
2. Pistols sprayed with white too because the original colour is so dull and honestly sick I can't bear to have my Strike Noir have these sufferings.
3. White panel lines on the black surfaces. (used cheap white pens you get from bookshops)
4. Dry brushed some inner parts and the pack holding the Striker Unit with silver giving it a rust effect. Not bad, quite a nice and effective way.
5. Painted hydraulics at legs and Striker back pack with silver paint. Its my first time hand painting my models. Good results. Thining it was hard!

Construction was like any other MGs but the quality is very good, similar to my first MG; Sword/Launcher Strike. The joints, legs and other parts are all very good, it isn't flimsy and loose. Basically you can pose him however you want ! and it stays there.

One most frustrating thing of all is the bloody decals. I messed up with certain decals and seriously speaking...messing up ONE of them will make you cry for nights already... and I messed up like 4 of them... Decalling is a hard process unless of course I get myself some water slide decals :D but they cost like 18 bucks :'(

Finished everything and give it few layers of Top Coat to get that matte I wanted and Ta-da! Strike Noir ready to launch!

This model is really nice to play with because it has TWO beam rifles and TWO pistols! the rest of the armaments can be left aside. I didn't even bother to cut them out of their runners and assemble them cause its useless.

You can pose alot with it because the articulation is good and it stays there. There's just one flimsy part in my model, the right wing's upper part. But nevermind, the overall of the model is good enough to cover up that mishap.

Perhaps its time to get some stands for MG models.. I only have one stand which came together with the MG Strike and its not enough!!

Next project!

But it has to wait until I finish my college projects T.T

Its only like.. the first few weeks and I'm already starting to feel the weight of Degree. Two group projects simultaneously come zooming to hug me AND the due date is like about 1week+ away. We haven't start working on the project yet and seriously we have to work fast because the project ain't something easy as I've seen the samples done by previous batch of seniors.

The earliest work I had for Degree was about architectural expression. As usual we're required to find a concept and slowly work on that concept. My concept was machinary, something rather different than the usual mood or theme concepts. 2D was fairly easy. The hard part was 3D

Three 3Ds done. 3 more to go.

Now that 3 of them are done, I should reward myself by completing the Strike Noir for good. Due date for 6 3Ds : Next Friday

Taking lightyears

This should be the longest time that I had taken to build a Gundam. Its been weeks since I got the MG Strike Noir and still it is not finished yet. I took my time to build this and few times I was forced to hold the project because I lacked certain necessities. But now I have some materials that I can use and so I continued with it again ^^ but still, it is only about 75% completed..

First off, the main material that I needed was the silver paint, thinner and a very fine brush.

Why?

Because I wanted to paint the hydraulics located near the ankle and maybe some other inner parts that look like they need it.

I find that mixing the paint and thinner properly to be the hardest part... not the painting part. The thinner was hard to pour and I only needed a few drops. Ended up I painted without the perfect thinning and it ended up looking abit rough.

But nevermind, it can hardly be seen unless u peek at it at such close range that you can smell the paint itself. Anways, this model is far from finished and I am already feeling very satisfied because of the very very good articulation it has.

Tag Team!

Basically the main body parts are finished. Now it only lacks the wings and perhaps some other armaments. I'll get it done as soon as possible if I can before the start of tedious projects in college.

Mr. SUPER Clear is SUPER!!

Bought my first ever (and won't be the last) can of Mr. Hobby's Mr. Super Clear Flat Top Coat!! I know it is a long name but bear with it. Flat Top Coat in short, it is CRUCIAL to spray yr gundams with this baby in a can. 1. It protects 2. Makes your Gundam cooler 3. Make your Gundam look professional and in turn makes YOU look like a professional but in truth is just a cheap amateur and casual collector of Gundam kits (I don't mean me).

MG Strike with Flat Top Coat! Damn!

Maybe it is not that visible in this picture but seriously after a Top Coat treatment, the Strike just looked like a transformation from William Hung to Ben Affleck. Perhaps the lighting and the camera itself also couldn't capture the matt look. The room lighting really sucks and the family DSLR camera is all the way in England with my brother... Damn

Tried super macro on digital camera to capture the matt difference with the previous Out of Box feel.

One of the most significant change that can be seen after the Top Coat is the Shield.

The shield of the Strike really looks extremely cool after the Top Coat. Tried to capture its brilliance on cam but failed.

Anyways, can always drop by my house to have a look at these babies to see the mass difference between out-of-box feel and matte. The touch is totally different also and it makes the annoying plastic feel go away. It looks more like the RM12 coloured clay that can be bought in Centre Point's bookshop.

Always preferred my Gundams to be sprayed with Flat Top Coat rather than Gloss because I like it flat rather than shiny xD Lets not waste the Top Coat and get on with spraying my Crossbone and then my Strike Noir and Sword Impulse after I'm done with them >:)

Cool, sleek and black.. Strike Noir is just like an Iphone with hands, legs, head and various parts :D

Add to the collection and it turns out disappointing! Must stack it to the ceiling.

More on Strike Noir's progress pretty soon. Wait till I get the necessary paints.. then it will be part of the family.

Playing with clear red

Went more in depth with Gunpla recently and got my self a bottle of Mr.Colour Clear Red and White Gundam Marker. First time buying these stuffs and testing them *sob sob* on my MG Strike and Crossbone. The marker turned out OK after drying. It actually looks like the base paint itself so I guess its ok to use marker if not airbrushing O.O *which I'm definitely not gonna use cause its expensive! and I don't think I have the skills* So I'll just stick to the markers.

Mr. Colour Clear Red, White Gundam Marker and the thinner Gundam Marker for panel lining. My previous one ran out of ink T_T

The clear red on the other hand, was used to paint the Crossbone's Muramasa Bluster and Beam Zamber.

It is something rather new to me but its a sign of me moving further forwards with Gunpla. Perhaps should try something more radical with my upcoming models. YES. Its the Strike Noir and Sword Impulse, the double combo! Both are MGs and I just can't wait.

BBQ/Xmas/Christy's birthday Party

Joined 3 events into one haha. One is a BBQ party to mark the end of our foundation. Next is about Christmas where we exchange our presents and lastly Christy's birthday which falls on Christmas day itself. They made it into a hot 3 in 1 combo and its FUN!

At Jon's house partying and barbequeuing. Thats me right there with the santa hat.

We did some potluck as well and everyone brought food. In the end we can't finish them all T.T

Then what is a christmas party without presents? Everyone exchanged presents

We also celebrated Christy's birthday and the cake was nice! lots of fruits and ugh.. I swear I was damn full that time.. Had buffet the night before and I'm sure the weighing scale had just become my arch enemy.

Anyways it was a fun night.... Honestly the best night I have had with college mates.

Ok on the review, the movie is simply AMAZINGLY-AWESOME! and I don't mind watching it over and over and over again for like 10 times (thats what I did with LOTR3) because the whole WORLD of Avatar simply amazes me without a limit... The amazing plants that glow in the night.. the forest floors that glow when u step on it. the glowing trees, the superb creatures (and especially the spinning lizards haha) the Legendary Floating Mountains.... wow.... Honestly I had abit of tears when I first saw the Floating Mountains... Its kind of like a dream come true... I loved it

Everything about Avatar is just so nice! The first thing that grabs the attention is the creativity of creating this other world with wonderful creatures and plants.. I don't know what else I can say about this movie.

Just go and WATCH IT!

Oh yea... Sorry to the princess and the frog, zombieland and pandorum, the movies that I watched before Avatar. Now I totally forgot what they were about because in my mind is all AVATAR AVATAR AVATAR!

I watched Princess and the Frog first and its quite a nice show like all the previous Disney family movies with some musical and er... some life lesson that they use as a theme. BUT
Frankly, after watching Zombieland I just totally forgot about Princess and the Frog...

Seriously, Zombieland? Stop reading this post and go GSC or TGV or any cinema and get a ticket for yourself because it is THAT NICE!

Imagine this scene in a zombie-flick...

Yes, Woody Harrelson is so hilarious in the film with his country accent. The conversations are also funny in a smart way throughout the movie, keeping the comedy momentum and never letting our face turn serious in the cinema at all.

Compared to so many zombie-flicks, Zombieland rules.. Its like Shaun of the Dead, which is also another zombie-comedy movie by the Brits which is also hilarious. I wish directors nowadays will start making zombie-comedies rather than the usual horror types.

Best thing is, even though they are only the few survivors left, they don't look panicked at all.. they just seem to enjoy themselves and when we watch them enjoy themselves, we enjoy ourselves. And the BEST PART IS A CAMEO BY ANOTHER FAMOUS COMEDIAN! THAT IS THE FUNNIEST PART! but of course I won't go spurting it out and be a spoiler.

Genting but not with frens T.T

Had a short trip to Genting on Sunday(mom's plans =.=)

She wanted to see some strawberry farm thing in Genting that she saw on newspaper.. so the whole family tagged along including my bro's gf.

After reaching it felt goooood! It had been so long since I had come to Genting and I miss the rides even though they are kinda boring xD
My papa says "strawberry farm sucks~~~"
After roaming around in the so called "strawberry farm" ... I felt cheated. The strawberries are so little and tiny and honestly there isn't any bigger than 50 cents... It seems that they allow tourists to pluck the strawberries with a DIY system. They will charge according to the weight of the strawberries plucked. So in the end the strawberry farm was a let down. But luckily the flower farm has compensated for its suckiness.

I can finally blog abit about what has happened throughout sem3 now that I'm part-free(only left presentation board to be handed in next mon :)

Been rather busy because the final model have taken up two weeks time total! not including the previous sketchmodels and design process. But I'm glad its over *sighs*

OMG its the Prince of Persia THE MOVIE coming out in 2010!!!

For those that don't know, Prince of Persia is a famous game by ubisoft. I liked the game and was hoping for the movie. Now it is finally coming out.

BUT WHY JAKE GYLENHAAL(or wateva spelling) ??? he looks like a softie and pushover totally unlike a tough battle-scarred warrior like the prince! Jake Gylenhaal even acted in the Ang Lee movie Brokeback Mountain, so how can he be a macho warrior??

Nevermind, since it is by Disney, I'll have high hopes that this movie will be good. It is Disney's anyway, and so far Disney isn't disappointing :)

Anyway, it seems Ben Kingsley is in too. The lead actress will be Gemma Arteton from the Quantum of Solace where she is an agent that got burnt to death. Side role :D so now she's getting a better role.

Jerry Bruckheimer is again involved in this project. Lets hope he brings the same hype from his Pirates of the Carribbean trilogy into this.

The Italian face

Went to my father's place recently to grab some construction materials as samples for myself and Desmond. So i gobbled every sample there and even some goody for my own entertainment. I found this "head"most interesting and now its home is in my room.

Look familiar???

My mom found it kinda creepy though. Gave her a near heart attack when she saw the face looking up at her when she went into the toilet(I had put it inside the pail of water to wash off the dust).

Its so cool I can't resist playing with it.

Oh I forgot i wear specs.

It is quite heavy actually. Feels like real gold haha. So.. I did something dumb

Off to the weighing scale!

hmm..The scale doesn't show that it is very heavy. But it is!

Recently, I watched 3 movies. 1. Jennifer's Body 2. Nightmare Before Christmas(its 1993 movie) 3. Laughing Gor:Turning Point.

The focus would be on Laughing Gor's movie. For those that do not know, Laughing Gor is a movie directed after the drama called I forgot what. Laughing Gor's character wasn't the lead but a supporting lead, BUT it had attracted alot of fans. Due to the success of this character, a movie is a MUST!

Laughing Gor is a spy for the cop in the drama. The movie is a flashback of his life before the story of the drama. It shows how Laughing Gor started to join the Cop-Triad club. I liked his character in the movie but he just HAD to die near the end of the drama T.T

Luckily the movie didn't disappoint... I liked it, it was a thrill ride! Those that have not watched this? I'll gladly borrow you my DVD. Good things are to be shared ;)

As for the Jennifer's Body, nothing special about it except for Megan Fox.Wooo in that show she just kept seducing the male actors(and male audience).

Nightmare Before Christmas was good too but I'd enjoy it more if it had less musical even though the musicals have very rightly paired rhymes. I finally watched this movie T.T mom, you must be proud of me :'(

Here's an interesting article I saw on a website. It's talking about people that use left or right part of their brain. And using a specific part actually determines whether you are a designer or a developer. I don't know if it is true. Haha, but it is still fun to know about it. It is just a theory by an American psychobiologist.

According to the article, he right brain thinkers are more talented in skills related to focus to images, feelings, touching and feeling objects. The left brain thinkers are more talented in skills related to logic, planning and observation. And the conclusion of it is : People who got skills in looking to images and ability to feel objects are more like to be designers than developers, vise versa, the people who got logic and objective skills are more like to be developers.

So which brain do you use?

But...it's funny. Does that mean designers have no logic!!??

New Drawing Project and I'm Loving it

Its the new Drawing project and its yet another journal type project where we make our own books
But compared to the SUCKY first project where u have to collect images AND USE MIXED MEDIA which I hate as usual, this new project is all about my favourite friends = Illustration,drawing and sketching. Colouring is also optional ^^

Its all about drawing out our interests OR if you can't decide on your interests, then Ms. Yvonne will give a statement everyday and then we expand from it. But lucky for me..This time I know what to do. After my shoebox project, I kinda know my liking and the style of it. I guess it will be good to stick to some of the elements of my shoebox project. Because unusual things are my interests.

A friend in college gave me a game thats in 2D like Mario and Maple story. I didn't think it would be SO nice when i heard its 2D but it turns out.... superb.... i really like that game, not only the gameplay but also the superb imaginations in the game AND mainly the graphics.. not CG but they are like... paintings . Really really good.

It is all about puzzle solving and brain storming through each stage. The fun thing is there are totally no words and none of the characters actually talks. They talk by showing images in a speech bubble haha

Drawing class project for semester 3 is the Visual Journal. Or in a simpler meaning, a 20 pages book containing images that is our focus or our subject. For me, the subject would be theme park and human expressions/emotions.

Basically it is mixed media. And i state again here that i HATE MIXED MEDIA! Back to the visual journal.. Its 20 pages of different design and even the page can be of different size(very very wide range) And in the end we have to bind the book with a few ways that Ms. Yvonne has given. It is confusing and I don't even know it myself so I'll skip it :)

One of the first pages I have done. About the thrill of roller coaster.

This page is about curiosity of humans and I used the gachapon machines and other similar machines because it gives you a feeling of curiosity, not knowing what you will get. A baby's face is always the best to show curiosity xD

The page about excitement of roller coasters. Pasted various images of roller coasters and manipulating their look by putting them at locations that create illusion-like images. Some illustrations included using pen.

The confusion page. Not really satisfied with it because it looks too plain to be a page about confusion @@

Crazy! page hahah. Used images of crazy roller coaster rides that are totally insane and wild to show the craziness of theme parks. Again manipulated images by pasting at specific positions.

The impact.. I've just noticed that I missed out human expressions for this...

Rough ride featuring Bruce Willis xD sounds like a movie preview ngek ngek. The black areas are actually sand paper to give it the "rough"feel. some pen illustrations at the back.

The fear... a scary composition I'd say because of the rather (ready?) SMART placement of the images kekeke. Shows the fear some people feel when they are in extreme rides at a theme park or horror rides. Too bad i couldn't find much horror rides in theme parks.

The page about enjoying the theme park. Pictures of merry-go-round and the spinning cup. Another picture is from a magazine and it is a ride in Genting Highlands ^^

Feeling Lucky. Images of games like dime pitch, milk bottle and dart games found in theme parks. It tests some skills but partly luck I'd say hehe. Used thick acrylic for the yellow splash. Some water colour and pen.

One more page and it is about Joy of theme parks. Using images of kiddy rides to show joyful spirit. Bumper cars as well(I miss it). I think the techniques i used for this page is quite simple. Masking tape all over the page before dabbing with sponge with white poster and abit of greyish colour later on. The smiling humanoids are pen illustrations. It might seem plain but it has good texture because of the masking tape base :)

These are the pages i had done. and its only 12 out of 20(one more isn't here because it lacks something) still got 8 more pages to go and I'll have to hand in by next Monday 12 o'clock T.T

Lets hope Ms. Yvonne likes my visual journal :) not really confident with it :( because of the simple techniques i use. Perhaps she wants to see more techniques. Well i don't know because she never said anything.

Just can't wait for the next visual journal where its fully illustrations.I like drawing :) alot

After so long i can finally blog bout my finished Crossbone T.T

The workplace ready to b messed up... took me few days to actually finish assembling this baby
THere's 15 runners(the big frames that connect all parts) O_O

The rest of my models only took me like one day or at most one day and a half for my MG Strike. Well thats when i wasn't doing sanding and stuffs like that ^^ so now the product will be better

And guess what, u can use the nail clipper >=) and the finishing is good, just need a little bit of extra sanding.

hmm...compared to the sizes of the MG strike and NG freedom. its actually smaller. Pretend that u can't see the two small HGs at the side xD

Core fighter. Kinda hard, lots of little details and parts. which is why alot of parts are foldable ^^ painted the tips of the swords yellow with ...... Daler Rowney Cadmium Acrylic!

After all parts assembled. its time for the decals and stickers

Decals and stickers are a MUST because it totally makes yr gundam make look *wow*.

It gives yr gundam more style than tyra banks if u load it up with decals.
The one above is the normal sticker where after sometime it will be very visible and the edges might curve up *curse them*

Here's the more advanced decal! there's another called water transfer decal but i've not seen it b4 . it can be bought.

the thing is, these decals are very fragile... press a little harder onto something else and it wil get stuck there and u'll end up smashing the whole gundam in frustration.

Hell, these decals muz be pressed hard and at the right place.... leave no air bubbles. Like this decal i did, there are air bubbles a plenty T.T i cried for a day after this decal which is why it took me so long to complete

After crying i thought to myself... *don't give up!!*
and so i did a better job

Used clear tape to hold it and then scratch it hard!!

and the zanbuster, is waaaaay different from the other gundams. its made of the revolver earlier combined with the sword. Damn.... sweet...

After completing the crossbone.. i find that it is rather...flimsy compared the MG strike when they are both of MG status

The MG strike looks more sturdy and the joints are harder to move, making u feel its more stable and hard.. but the crossbone is rather flimsy with its joints. the hands come out easily from the elbow.. one of the stupidest is the new hand =.= where u have to slot a small hold onto the weapon to hold it and i find that damn annoying bcuz just slotting one weapon will take me 15mins like that..... its hard
but in the end after slotting it is STILL loose.

while my crossbone has difficulty holding his own sword =.=
MG strike seems to have no problem instead..

crossobone grrr!! with zanbuster and the pirate sword... took me like 20 mins to get his hands to hold the two blasted swords

I better not mention what happened to the peacock smasher which is the crossbow looking thing that holds 8 spray cans.(IT CAN'T HOLD AT ALL! TOO HEAVY!!!)

Life as a Box

The shoebox assignment actually lasted quite short a period..

gone in a flash and i think this time most of us did quite an impressive job *claps* ^^
mayb bcuz the project itself is fun to do as u get to do yr personality and interests which in the end reflects ourselves..

The outcome of the boxes realy kinda reflected ourselves. its like seeing how we would look like if every1 was a box hahaha
finished my own box at 3a.m.!!! and woke up at 6a.m.!!! the only ppl on msn that talked with me at that time was shuyi and edd. lucky they kept me awake... i seriously wanted to close my eyes.

This is the inside, which is an interior space. i really liked the way she did her lamp its very good with the creative use of a normal plastic fork that ppl use for dessert and fruits. this is her interest, interior design

looks kinda flat. perhaps trying to do the books abit 3D would turn out better

The interior has a doll sitting on a tree stump and reading books. ironic isn't it, he's reading books that are made of paper which came from trees and he's sitting on a tree stump =.=
His interest would be in books and his exterior personality is intellectual.

John wong's interior(i forgot to take the exterior picture) which is a scene full of extreme sports like skateboarding and roller coaster which he likes i guess.

Hooi teng's box. i dunno whats the theme but those fonts are really good. made of foamboard.
Her interior is kinda...messy. i forgot bout her theme for it but i can see a big high heel shoe, a bra and a can.

Christmas is here! and Carmen's box is santa's choice xD. it really looks like a present box from santa claus complete with a key attached to it.
has nice emboss detail on the paper. Nice. i don't know her personality though.

Carmen's interior is about her love for photography and there a tons of camera models stuck on the walls.

Stephanie's box of FURY! depicting her hot tempered nature.(the pic is upside down xD)

The wooden coffin that she made. Kinda early to make yr own coffin at the age of 18 don't u think so? :D
more surprises inside. The coffin can be opened! to reveal pumpkins and a comfortable looking cushion inside ^^
shows stephanie's interests in fantasy/gothic/vampires.
Jeannie's exterior is very plain, i think the personality she chose was honest.

but the inside has collages of flowers which are hand made. i don't know her interior liking though. ppl will think that she likes nature based on the usage of trees and flowers but i doubt thats her liking
One of my favourite would be yong hong's box depicting his personality of calmness and his interests in culture

his interior. honestly all yong hong's works are very carefully done and detailed(unlike my technical skills which have lots of holes xD) he is very passionate about his work

here's peck yee's interior which is almost the same with yong hong's. the most amazing part of this box is those little chinese characters on the wall and the box's lid. they are all hand written by her! she learned calligraphy ^^ (and sorry for accidentally drawing a line on yr box !!)

another look at it. there's a big ziter present and check out the lid. all those chinese characters hand written. one mistake and you'll stop doing and cry for the rest of the day

My exterior design, with theme of mentally adventurous which is like ... wanting to see something different as in visually, not phsyically. its like curiosity. not sure if my message can be sent through the design though...

Top of my box. Few Bulbed-figures holding onto each other.. actually to me.. it means ideas connecting and expanding. and the lamp posts are like the energy supply which is why they are holding onto it

This is the inside of my lid..rather simple but lecturer told me to keep it simple. more usage of these bulbed figures. they are like my main element and focus for this box design. i had the idea after combining my earlier illustrations. and part of it from the joker :D

My interior
a sene in a theatre. its like a puppet show and my interior liking is something unusual and funny. which is why i chose to use a scene of a puppet show. it doesn't show on the photo but there are strings attached to the dolls.

to make things unusual and different from what its supposed to be, i
made a house that is irregular and bizarre on the left side.

Cardboard trees with red stripes on the left. i stuck tables on the wall vertically which is basically impossible.

more usage of the bulbed character as my main puppet.. which means my ideas.

Really really tired... this week im spent... stayed up late for this box and had birthday plannings for frens. Time to rest...........

The box identity assignment is taking really alot of time, wish i'd had started on it earlier >.<

i only finished the exterior lid

The interior floor done as well. glossy wood varnish on ice cream sticks ^^

the real pain in the ass = the 3D lettering on the side of my exterior

had to cut em on paper first to get a good measurement of the lettering

then transfer it onto foam board

Cut it, sand it

then
spray black onto a piece of paper and measure each side and cut it out and paste

finally it looks like this

Even as im waiting for photos to upload for this post, i'm sanding the 3D words for the other side of the box x(

With all the spray fumes and foam board dust that i'm inhaling, its no surprise i might fall dead before i'm 18 +_+

Arriving earliest(as usual) with kenneth(bcuz i fetched him thats why he's early xD) at 8.
The earliest to reach award for second place goes to wai weng who reaches at 8.30..
its strange : 8 is the meeting time and the earliest(excluding me) to arrive is 8.30

Argh i don't know why i jus don't learn after few times of waiting for 15-20 mins.
Sometimes as i remember i purposely headed out from my house late but ended im STILL the earliest!

I know its not much to most of my frens but i REALLY should get a medal or award or whatsoever.

I drove to Semenyih and I'm proud of it T.T i never really had the courage to drive so far. not only that, i had always been bad with directions so i prefer not to drive too far without supervision.

But today! i drove to semenyih..cheras... through KL and back to kepong. wow its a long journey...
Its long partly bcuz my mom kept pointing me to the wrong direction =.= and what is supposed to be a one hour journey became like 2-3 hours *gasp*

supposed to go sungai long but ended up in tmn connaught, on the way back from semenyih went to kajang instead... so in the end went the long highway to KL and through KL to kepong.

now i'm all tired and worn out from all the driving and abit of jam here and there..

GunPla or broken down to Gundam and Plastic is a term for those gundam models that are made of plastics

Had been visiting a particular forum meant for Malaysian Gunpla community and HECK there are LOTS of LOTS of custom made gundam models! custom made as in they add in foreign objects like ball point pen tips into the body or even mould their own parts . damn ... i feel high just looking at those custom ones. i'm dying to try them out .... the furthest i've gone is inking the parts =.= which ...now seems so amateur!

Was bored and went on a journey in my drawer to find any dvds i had not watched and the title

"Tracing Shadows"appeared.
the cover seemed very interesting and i read the synopsis and its about hardcore martial artists fighting for a treasure map.. sounds kinda cool and intense rite..

famous hongkong star acts as the quiet martial arts master. he doesnt seem interested in the treasure but he does seem interested in -
this martial arts girl who is interested in the treasure map.

Kinda late to do this but i just snatched these hot pictures(and vids) from jo yee. FINALLY!

yes, its our boy tyng gio's 18th birthday and 18th birthdays are important according to what i heard : 18 sui, pok pok chui. wateva it means...

So i went to tyng gio's place AND i only got to know the time when i called himat 6 on THAT DAY ITSELF! but nvm... so i went there and eddie was already there. quite some attended.. but it was really enjoyable. not the food though cuz...being myself i dun eat the chicken, the vegetables and other stuff.. basically throughout that time i only ate fishball like things and hotdogs... pity me.

Shinjuku Incident

Just watched Shinjuku Incident (i know its abit late) starring Jackie chan and daniel wu. A very nice movie which i find very very meaningful and managed to keep me thinking.

So jackie chan started off in the movie like some quiet newbie in a dota match of pros played by the japanese mobster. at first he gives me a bad impression because of his haircut... and his moody look, he looks so much better acting in comedies!! too bad though the bad impression continues on to the end of the movie.. but nonetheless good acting there.

But dam! he get to be with fan bingbing! once noted as most beautiful in china and yea she IS not bad looking. Jackie chan = luckie chan

Another thing that kinda... attracted me was the role of daniel wu in the movie. he plays jie, some friend i guess, of jackie. alright the thing is.. daniel wu always gave me the impression of cool, super. wow... kinda look. i mean in his movies he's like that and he's a hearthrob and girls everywhere are staring at his poster right as im blogging now. BUT, in this movie... he's really good in a role that is very very very! different. His character in the movie.. honestly, is the one i pity the most and jackie only comes in second place... I mean, daniel wu started ok but when the movie progresses.. u start to see his character is weak and a coward, differnet from his usual roles like in movie The Protege.

The reason i pity his character is... u can see clearly in the movie he didn't really have a good life throughout right to the time he died.. A summary of his life is : he goes illegally to china, gets beaten up by a mob. then he becomes the scapegoat of his fren and had his face cut by a taiwanese mobster... and worse of all is that guy chopped of his right hand from his wrist... SERIOUSLY that part REALLY ... gave me the creeps..... i REALLY didnt expect that coming and its rather disturbing .... then as the story goes on, jackie chan finally gets power by serving a japanese gang.THEN daniel wu comes out again... with a scarred face and amputated right hand. his attitude changes and becomes aggressive..

Thats not all, he starts to turn totally punk style and starts to take drugs and also sells them.

Losing his afro in the movie and putting on a white wig, he looks cool and scary in this punk dress up.. throughout the movie... u see the negative side of human personality ... it shows perfectly how POWER slowly turns the good people who fights the evil TO the evil people that they used to fight against last time. the band of chinese frens of jackie and daniel in japan were given power by jackie and he himself went off with fan bingbing to do some legal business... his frens instead did illegal business and started to turn bad...

And jackie, trying to talk them out of it... ended up dying with the rest of the chinese frens including daniel wu in the end... sad.. interesting movie very interesting because of the theme of it.. his frens used to be happy even though they were poor last time and as they grew powerful they started to be violent in the end killing themselves. and they had to drag jackie along T.T

Near the ending of the movie was really intense and spine-gripping .... worth the watch. those of u hu haven't watch this, can go get in on ~~pirated~~ DVD now OR u can kindly ask me for the ~~pirated~~ DVD :)

Targeting boutiques now

Alright, after a few occasions of hearing these "boutiques" and even seeing it on newspaper, i've decided.. its time to check them out.

Basically boutiques are shops that sell fashionable clothes, jewelry and the other stuff in the same department. They are different from yr usual BG, sub, WC and TL.

I've never been to boutiques b4 only those where my mom went to see her clothes (=.=). I'm hoping there are more different choices of clothing in these boutiques and the only ones i know are in bangsar baru, Jalan Telawi.

It should be fun to break the usual barrier of wearing ruffey id. clothing which i like x) BUT i heard boutiques are E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E! well never mind, it is still cool to check out clothes there.

Right now.. i'm kinda having a mood for buttoned shirts either plain or with box patterns with short pants. And strangely, i've noticed a rather strange new trend while walking in Gardens with my frens... a new way of wearing long jeans.

I'll be checking em out soon with frens x)
